Fall Season Premeires

Are you enjoying the Fall season premeires as much as I am?

Currently my shows of choice are Survivor, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, 90210, The Vampire Diaries, Project Runway and The Office.

I am waiting on shows such as FlashForward (I can't watch it tonight, but I will watch the repeat on Friday), The Amazing Race and MTV shows like the Hills (I'm gonna try to watch it) and the City (I'll have to try with this one, too).

Overall, I'm excited, but I am most excited about the Simpsons season premeire this Sunday! I'll have a recap ready for Monday. I think it's going to be hilarious. Make sure you tune in a check out my blog for a recap.

In other news, I added another blog to my blog list. It's MTV's Hollywood Crush. It's full of Twilight clothing updates and other interesting pop culture news.

From the VMAs to Animation Domination

Well a lot has happened since my last post. There have been a lot issued apologies and twitter topics, but I feel that it is time to move on.

Okay, I just got an email from FOX stating the following:

SUNDAY SEP 27 at 8/7c
Now the longest-running comedy in television history, THE SIMPSONS continues to celebrate its 20th Anniversary with a season premiere at 8/7c, co-written and guest voiced by Seth Rogen.

All I have to say is yay can't wait til next, next Sunday! Animation Domination!

New Moon Trailer

During the VMAs they premiered the New Moon extended trailer. I already saw it on Youtube, but it was nice seeing it on the big screen. I thought the trailer was pretty good. I'm really looking forward to this movie. It was the best book of the series and it will probably be the best movie. Can't wait til November 20th.

VMA 2009: Be Careful What You Wish For

Okay...if you read my last post I wished for something "wild" to happen during the VMAs. I guess I spoke too soon because barely a half hour into the show Kanye West obliged my request.
He totally embarassed Taylor Swift by stealing the microphone during her VMA acceptance speech and declared that the award should have gone to Beyonce.

As much as I agreed, I could not agree with his actions. I cringed and was completely disgusted. I actually had to run away from the television because the moment was so awkward and sad. It was typical Kanye, but I think we are all getting a little sick of it. Well I guess I learned my lesson. Next time I'm going to hope for a milder moment. But you never know if Kanye is present. Luckily in the end Beyonce gave Taylor her moment.

And it didn't end there. At the conclusion of the show, as Jay-Z and Alicia Keys performed, Lil Mama got on stage. That was so confusing and shocking for me. I understood her wanting to join whole New York moment, but this was a moment for Hip Hop and R&B royalty. In other words, not a moment for a one hit wonder who managed to get a hosting gig on America's Best Dance Crew. She ought to be ashamed for embarassing NY like that.

VMAs 2009 tonight!

If you've looked through my blog you might've noticed that I love MTV award shows and that I like New Moon. Well those two interests will combine again at tonight's Video Music Awards in New York City.

It has been an exciting week in New York with the start of Fashion Week, Fashion's Night Out to encourage shopping, and now the VMAs. I participated in Fashion's Night Out and watched as celebs excited the Fashion Week tents, but I will not be outside Radio City Music Hall to eye some celebs because I want to catch everything at home. I hope there is something interesting this year. I missed the year with Britney's awful performance because I was studying abroad in London and many other crazy moments because I was didn't cable. Other years that I've watched have been just plain boring. Hopefully, I will be able to witness something wild live.

Also I hop the New Moon trailer is worth watching and contains something new.

Simpsonized Hip Hop Artists

As I was checking Kanye West's blog today I was shocked to find a collection of Simpsonized Hip Hop Icons. Format Magazine "No Homer" simpsonizes "[Kanye West], Lil Wayne, Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac, Snoop Dogg, Flava Flav, Eazy E, Andre 3000, Eminem, and Fat Joe alongside iconic O representations for each artist." I think this creation exemplifie the way in the Simpsons has influenced multiple cultural forms in the nationally and internationally. I included some of my favorites below, but check out Kanye West's blog for all of the included artists.

Early Emmy Win for Dan Castellaneta

BBC News has reported that "Dan Castellaneta, who voices Homer Simpson, won his fourth Emmy in the voice-over category. "

Isn't that awesome! I mean Dan's voice is so special and has entertained us for soo many years, so I think that we can all agree he deserved it. Season 20 has had it's ups and downs, but you can always count on Dan for an awesome performance.
